Description
Trail maps are available in the nature center or at the kiosk to the right of the building. All trail intersections are marked with a map and the markers on the trees match the trail colors on the map, so this is a great place for beginners to hike!
The trails are rated easy, with gentle hills, and will take you through a beech forest to scenic stops along the St. Lawrence river, across marshy fields, and to a scotch pine loop. A variety of habitats are found along these mowed and maintained trails.
In winter, the trails are available for snowshoeing and cross country skiing and free equipment is available for loan 9AM-5PM Wednesday-Sunday at the nature center.
There is a 0.2-mile paved loop trail which departs and returns to the nature center. This trail meets accessibility standards and is for all to enjoy.
