Description

Following the shore of Massewepie Lake, the Massawepie Lake Trail begins by traversing the ridge between Long Pond and Massawepie Lake. The terrain is predominantly accessible and flat but does climb several hills. Marked by white blazes, the trail travels through a variety of terrains from wetlands with wooden walkways, boreal forests, and the headwaters of the Grasse River. An abundance of areas to camp and access to water can be found.

Other Information

Public recreation is not allowed around the northern portion (approximately 1/3) of the lake.

There is no public access to the Massawepie Lake Trail (or any portion of the Massawepie property) from June 15 to August 31.

The parking area is just past the athletic fields 1/10 mile. When you see the climbing tower your a stones throw from it on your left. There is a second parking area 1.2 miles further on the left. From there, cross the road and follow blue on white markers until you intersect the white blaze trail.
We went clockwise from second parking area. Trail in great condition, board walk in boggy areas, beautiful trail up, along and down eskers. Some walking along camp roads.
