For those who are looking to dabble into the gravel cycling scene, this route offers a great opportunity to try gravel that is not very harsh, very hilly, or technically challenging. It passes through gently rolling farmland, with many quaint barns and houses providing scenic vistas.
The Saddlemire Trail is maintained by St. Lawrence University. The remainder of this route is not formally maintained by any group. Contact the Chamber of Commerce for more information.
